Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Although we are based at Alfreton Hall, we are a separate business and can be used alongside wedding venues all across the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire area.
Absolutely not! We do have a gallery of inspiration images in all the different categories we cover (centre pieces, stationery, cakes etc…) with beautiful options to cover many different styles and tastes. Many couples like our ideas so much that they simply choose one of these options and customise the colours or change the design slightly to suit their wedding. However, if you have an image or idea of, for example, a cake that you like, we’ll no doubt be able to fit it into your package.
We can be as involved or distant as you want us to be. We love giving couples advice and guidance throughout the wedding process, but know that many couples have so many ideas of their own that there’s no room for ours. Bear in mind though, that Our Wedding Dreams is a ‘wedding planning experience’, rather than a wedding planning service. In other words, we will book everything for you, but leave you the fun of meeting with your suppliers, if necessary, to talk through the finer details.
Yes, of course – you can take out whatever you like from the package. We just ask that whatever you take out is replaced with something of equal or greater value – this could be something from our add ons list, such as wedding car hire or a chocolate fountain, or it could pay for upgrades for things already in your package.
You can. The advantage of our packages is that they are discounted and include lots of freebie decorations, but we still welcome couples who would like to use us for selected parts of their wedding.
Some couples can find planning a wedding to be stressful and time consuming and would like to make the planning process as easy as possible. If that’s you, planning your wedding could be as simple as choosing wedding invitations / a cake / a photographer / centre pieces etc from our gallery, and leaving it with us to book for you.
No, you don’t. Payment is usually made in three sections – a deposit, a half way payment and the balance payment 4 weeks before the wedding. So, if a couple has booked the £2000 bronze package in January 2013 and their wedding is in December of that year, they would pay a £500 deposit straight away, and the remaining £1500 would be split into two payments – £750 paid in June and £750 paid in November. We find doing it this way helps couples with budgeting and saving.
